Newcomer Career Services

Our Newcomer Career Services provides programs tailored to meet the needs of newcomers ready to enter the workforce.

Services Include:

  • Development of a career action plan

  • Personality assessment tools

  • Cover letter and resume development

  • Job search strategies

  • Job coaching

  • One-to one career counselling

  • Interview process

  • Ongoing support and guidance

  • Employment leverage

​

Eligible clients are Permanent Residents of Canada and other Protected persons. Please contact the office for more information on program eligibility. No Referral is necessary, walk-ins are welcome.

Youth Link Program (Ages 15-25)

​

Highschool participants will receive instruction on a number of topics that will prepared the youth for employment while attending school.

​

Participants not in school will receive ongoing career/employment counselling support and/or job coaching and follow-up for a period of up to six months post employment.

Employment Training & Labor Integration (Adults 25 & older)

​

Ongoing employment classes will be offered through the year. Call us at 306-525-0039. 

Topics covered in our programs include:

  • Are you ready to work?

  • How to market yourself with little to no education

  • Young worker Readiness Certificate and regulations

  • Workplace Safety

  • Using technology to job search

  • Adapting to the Canadian Labor Market

  • Employability, essential and interpersonal skills
